Waxing For The Bride To Be

By Mike Sweenler

Before a wedding, there are many tasks that need to be completed. Some examples of what needs to be accomplished are: obtaining the right attire, finding the right decorations and arrangements, inviting the guests that should be there, and creating a plan for catering. With all of that, it is easy to lose yourself in trying to set up the perfect wedding and forget an important element - your appearance.

There are many different ways to look better and closer to the ideal image for your special day, such as getting a tan or dying your hair or losing the last couple of pounds that's been bothering you. Taking those steps will also help emotionally, to better prepare the confidence you want for the big day. Among the things that you can do, one of the steps that you should consider is waxing. Waxing is a beneficial way to improve your appearance, but it can be a little scary, so here are some hints and tips on how to do it properly.

First of all, waxing is a better way to remove hair than shaving because it has longer lasting effects. Does it annoy you to have to shave every several days to keep the hair from coming back with a razor? If it does or if you don't have the time to maintain it so often, then waxing is right for you. Depending on how fast your hair grows, waxing will stop hair growth at its roots and keep your skin smooth for three to eight weeks instead of three days.

Waxing takes out the hair by the roots which is why it is much longer lasting than shaving. Also, the hair that does grow back will be silkier than the hair that grows back after shaving. There is even the chance that it will not grow back very much at all after you have waxed a few times. And why not exfoliate skin as you remove hair, which is what waxing does.

There are some minor drawbacks to the process that you should be aware of. For 24 hours before waxing, you should avoid direct sunlight. You should then avoid direct sunlight and wearing tight clothing to prevent chafing for a further 48 hours afterward.

For the same reason you will not want to take a hot bath for about a day after waxing and you should be careful about the lotions and creams you apply, ensuring that nothing is too fragrant or has chemicals in it. You may notice some redness or irritation immediately after the procedure but it shouldn't persist and if it does a dermatologist should be consulted.

A wedding is a very special time to be waxing and it would not be wise to do this for the first time right before the big day. Do a trial run to see how your skin does. Especially when it come to facial areas, even if you have tried it before, still take care of things about a week prior to your wedding day in case anything unforeseen happens.

Once the trial sessions have been taken, the final wax can be done around 3-4 days before the wedding day. This ensures enough time for the rashes or redness to fade away. If you have queries on chest waxing, bikini area waxing, eyebrows designing; contact a reputed brand of waxing products to get satisfactory answers with a lot of good recommended products.
